Lane Cove GreenHome Sustainable Living Program 2009-10
The Australian Conservation Foundation, with provision from the local council, has been fortunate to deliver a 12-month sustainability program to the Lane Cove Community.
The program looks very different from previous years and we would like community members of all walks of life to get involved! There are two different ways to do this, either through our Champions Project Program and / or the GreenHome Public Events Group.
Lane Cove GreenHome Champions Project Program
ACF's GreenHome program invites community members of Lane Cove and surrounding areas to apply for an exciting training opportunity that will help your community project ideas come alive.
The ACF GreenHome team will train up to 25 people from Lane Cove to inspire and lead the community towards a more sustainable lifestyle and to reduce the ecological footprint of Lane Cove community. The Champions program is a hands-on training program supported by a series of four workshops run by ACF.
At the conclusion of the program, participants will have contributed to their own community projects that provide tangible, visible and inspiring results for the community.

GreenHome Public Events Group
The GreenHome Public Events group will work together with ACF on brainstorming, designing and deciding on events that involve ‘all’ people in the community. This could be in the form of one big or a series of events such as a car-free day or a sustainability parade showcasing artworks and clothing made out of recyclables.
It involves two meetings of which the first meeting will take place early 2010, the exact date to be further decided upon consultation with the people that have expressed interest in this group.
