    SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

    The Climate Project - Australia

The Climate Project – Australia, Al Gore's climate change leadership program with the Australian Conservation Foundation, has trained 250 people as volunteer climate change presenters.

Each trainee is personally trained by Nobel Peace prize winner Al Gore, and is schooled in the science of climate change, including information of particular relevance to Australia.

The aim of the training is to educate Australians on the issues and consequences of climate change, using the material in Al Gore’s famous ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ slide show.

Trainees come from all walks of life, including professional sports people, actors, executives, priests, school students and stay-at-home Mums.

By the end of 2008, The Climate Project - Australia had celebrated the milestone of reaching 1 in 100 Australians with the presentation.

Change moves faster through us all and when it comes to climate change, time is of the essence.

The Climate Project has produced a new documentary called Telling The Truth which follows seven Climate Project presenters, personally trained by Al Gore, as they take his message to spark change in their own communities.

We are looking for those yearning to stimulate change through their networks (Connectors), using the documentary as a catalyst.
