Cash for containers – tell your state MP we need a CDS
Australia needs a national container deposit system to clean up waste, save resources and create green jobs.
We consume over 12 billion in drink containers a year. That's 522 containers each. Only 40% of these are recycled – the rest become litter or choke the earth in landfill.
A nation-wide deposit scheme would create green jobs, dramatically reduce resource consumption and pollution.
We can't keep burying the truth – Australia has a massive container waste problem. A CDS can help solve these issues.
